First Blog Post
Hello! Welcome to my blog, my name is Johnna Nanalook and I'm currently a sophomore at UAF. I grew up in rural Alaska in a small town called Iliamna, but now live in the Bay Area of California. Moving from such a small village with a population of about 200 people was eye opening, but I actually enjoy living in the city a lot more than I thought I would. When I'm not busy with school I'm either exploring the city, at the gym or watching Netflix. I think I have a very basic relationship with art I was never very artistic, but was always interested in the art that people create. I draw and sketch here and there whenever I feel like I need a break from my phone or just need to take a minute to distract myself from the things around me. Some of my favorite artists are Alaskan Native and I do own a few pieces of the culture based pieces they have created that hang on my walls. I do not attend first Friday's, although I think it would be awesome to attend one and a great op
